THE SCRIPTURES
We believe the Bible is the final authority in all faith and practice. We believe that it is the infallible, inspired, inerrant word of God, preserved in the English Authorized King James Version and is “the holy scriptures,” and thereby “given by inspiration of God.” We believe in moderate dispensational teaching and that rightly dividing is the divine tool and instruction for the correct interpretation, application an understanding of His word.
(Psa 12:6-7; 119:89, Pro 30:5, 2 Pet 1:20-21, 2 Tim 3:15-17, 2 Tim 2:15, 1 Cor 4:6).
THE BODY OF CHRIST
We believe the church consists of all born again believers united in one body, in which Christ is the head, and this body is ascribed to be the “body of Christ,” “the bride of Christ,” and “the church.”
(Matt 16:18, Rom 12:5, 1 Cor 12:12,13, 27, Gal 3:28, Col 1:18, 24; 3:11, Eph 1:22-23; 5:22-32).
THE LOCAL CHURCH
We believe the local church is a physical, visible assembly of believers, which contains members of the body of Christ. We believe that a scriptural church is one that carries out the great commission, making disciples, and baptizing (immersion) after salvation, with an unbroken history from Jesus Christ to this day.
We believe that the church is self governing and an independent body with Christ being the Head and the Holy Spirit as its guide. Its ministries include glorifying the Saviour, and the edification of the saints. We believe two scriptural offices: being bishop (pastor), and deacon, and two scriptural church ordinances’: water baptism (“after salvation”), and the Lord’s Supper.
(Eph 1:22-23, Mark 16:15, Matt 28:18-20, Heb 10:25, 1 Cor 16:19,1 Tim 3, Acts 14:22-23, 20:28,1 Cor 6:20; 11:23-26; 14:12, 1 Thess 5:11).
CREATION
We believe that God created the universe and that the world was created in 6 literal 24 hour solar days; being miraculous and instantaneous by God’s omnipotence. We reject Darwinian Theory!
(Gen 1, Job 26:7, Psa 19:1; 95:4-5, Col 1:16-17, Heb 1:2-3, Exo 20:11).
MAN
We believe that man was originally created in the image of God and then after disobeying God’s direct command lost the image of God and thus in consequence brought spiritual and physical death upon all future generations. We believe that man is totally depraved by nature in thought, deed, and speech, thus is in need of salvation from eternal punishment for transgressing God’s divine law.
(Gen 1:26-27: 5:3, Rom 3:10-18, 23; 5:10-19, Rev 14:11; 21:8, Matt 18:8-9 Ezk 18:20-28).
SALVATION
We Believe salvation is by grace through faith in the “finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ,” taking the punishment upon Himself voluntarily in substitution for all mankind. We believe that His blood is limitless in power and without spot or blemish and thus is the atonement for the soul for all that except the gospel. We believe salvation is eternal and those that receive it are eternally secure and are sealed unto the day of redemption. We Believe salvation is a gift that cannot be earned by human merit whatsoever, those that receive the gospel are born again and imputed Christ’s righteousness, now being sons of God, in which is an instantaneous moment.
(1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:13-14; 2:8-9; 4:30, 2 Cor 1:22; 5:21, Rom 5:8-12; 11:6, Heb 10:4-10; 12:2, 1 Peter 1:19-20, John 1:12; 3:3-7, Rom 4:1-6, Isa 64:6 Acts 2:41; 8:36-38 10:41-48, 11:12-18).
HEAVEN
We believe that heaven is a literal place where Jesus is currently seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe that this place is designed for those that have accepted the free gift of salvation to be with God for all eternity.
(John 3:3-7; 14:3, 1 Thess 4:13-18, 1 Cor 15:45-58, Heb 1:3, 2 Cor 5:8, Rev 5:8-12).
HELL
We believe hell is a literal place of eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels and any unsaved person will be confined to hell until the Great White Throne Judgment to be later cast into the lake of fire.
(Matt 5:22;13:42;25:41, 46;18:8-9;23:33, Mark 9:43, Rev 14:11; 20:4-15; 21:8, Psa 86:13; 9:17).
THE RETURN OF CHRIST
We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ where He will rapture His bride before the appointed time of wrath (Daniel’s 70th week/Jacob’s trouble), in which the church is not appointed to. Proceeding to the end of the Great Tribulation, we believe that all nations will be judged, separating the wheat and the tears (sheep and goats) to then enter into the millennial kingdom (rest), to which were Christ will rule with a rod of Iron.
(Matt 13:24-30, 36-51; 25:1-13, 31-46, John 14:3, 1 Thess 5:9, Hab 2:3, 1 Thess 4:13-18, 1 Cor 15:45-58, Rev 4:1-4; 5:8-10; 2:27, Psa 2:9, Heb 3:11; 4:7-8, Psa 95:11, Dan 9:24-27, Luke 1:31-33, 2 Sam 7:14-17, Micah 4:7).
SANCTIFICATION
We believe those that have been born again are now to live holy consecrated lives being God’s purchased possessions. We believe that sanctification is a process and a progressive work of the Holy Spirit in the regenerated man, in whom the believer yields, to carry out God’s will. We believe that the process of sanctification is completely separate from justification (being declared righteous): which is an instantaneous moment, and will only be complete when the body of sin is destroyed and redeemed at translation.
(2 Thess 2:13, 1 Thess 4:3-4, 1 Cor 1:30-31, Eph 4:17-32, Col 3:5-17, 1 Pet 3:15, Joel 1:14, Heb 10:14, 1Cor 15:45-58).
THE GODHEAD/TRINITY
We believe that God is One, manifest in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, being equal in essence, but yet distinct in persons. They being equal in divine perfection have distinct, but yet, harmonious offices in agreement with one another, being the creator and sustainer of things invisible and visible by His word.
(John 10:18, Acts 2:24, Gal 1:1, Rom 8:11; 1:20, Col 2:9, Matt 3:16-17; 28:19-20, 2 Cor 13:14, 1 John 5:7-11, Exo 20:2-3, 1 Cor 8:6, Heb 1:2-3).
GOD THE FATHER
We believe that God the Father is an eternal all powerful Spirit. We believe that He is Holy, merciful, compassionate, and longsuffering concerning the affairs of mankind and answers prayer. We believe He forgives anyone who repents and puts their faith in the finished work of His Son (Jesus).
(John 4:24, Acts 10:1-4, Heb 4:16, 1 Cor 8:6, Rom 8:15, Acts 20:21).
GOD THE SON
We believe that Jesus Christ is God made manifest in the flesh and is eternal, who is fully man and fully God. We believe He was born of a virgin and conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe He came to this earth to live a perfect sinless life, fulfilling the law that no mere man ever could. We believe that He took the wrath of God upon Himself to be the propitiation of mankind’s sin. We believe that he died for all sin, was buried, and bodily resurrected the third day according to the scriptures and is now seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding on behalf of all born again believers.
(Matt 1:18-23; 5:17, Rom 3:25; 8:1-4, 27, 1 Pet 2:22 1 John 2:2; 3:5, 1 Cor 15:1-4, Heb 7:25; 9:24, 1 Tim 2:5).
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is God and the third person of the Godhead. We believe He reproves the world of sin, guides all regenerated believers to righteousness and truth, magnifies the Lord Jesus Christ, and permanently indwells all believers.
(John 16:7-11, 13-15, Acts 5:1-4; 13:2, Eph 1:13-14; 4:30, 1 John 2:27, 2 Cor 1:22).
SEPERATION: ECCLESIASTICAL AND PERSONAL
We believe that a believer should live a holy consecrated life magnifying the Lord Jesus Christ in all aspects of life, and though living in the world, one is to remember the believer is not a part of this world, being separate from it and abstaining from all appearances of evil, as a good testimony to the lost world of Christ’s redeeming grace.
We believe saved individuals and the local church should separate from all forms of apostasy, ecumenism, contemporary Christian music, neo-evangelicalism, and modernism, or any other departure from the written principles of the word of God. We believe in the separation of church and state and should be free of any kind of government outside of its self, except the requirements necessary for lawful operation.
We reject replacement theology (supersessionism), recognizing the God of the Bible does not break His written oath. We reject the charismatic movement, as tongues were for a sign that was given to Israel and that these sign gifts slowly faded away with the apostles. We hold to the biblical position along with the Reformers, that the Catholic Church is “the great whore” of (Rev 17), and are against the falsehood of higher and lower criticism of the word of God.
(Exo 4:4-9, 28-30, John 4:48, 1 Cor 1:22, 2 Cor 12:12, Rev 2:2, 1 John 4:1-6; 2:15-26, 2 Cor 6:14-18, 1 Cor 15:33, Pro 13:20, Heb 6:18, Titus 1:2, 9-13; 2:10-15, 1 Cor 4:6, 2 Tim 4:20, 1 Thess 5:22, Matt 22:21).
MARRIAGE
We believe that it is God’s design for marriage to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and any intimate sexual relations outside of this marriage covenant are considered to be fornication, which is condemned.
(Gen 1:26-27; 2:23-24, Matt 19:4-9, Eph 5:22-32, Rom 1:24-32; 7:2, Lev 18, 1 Cor 5:1-5; 6:9).
Note: This is just a short summation in overview of what we believe, it is not the extent of our beliefs, but is none the less an accurate depiction of the doctrines and beliefs, to which we ascribe.
